Thermodynamic studies of Palm oil and n-pentane and their binary mixtures (Palm oil + n-pentane) were interpret at temp 293.15. The mole fraction ranging from 0.1 to 0.9. Densities of binary mixtures were measured by using specific gravity bottle. The resultant densities data were further used to determine excess molar volumes by using Redlich-Kister polynomial expansion. The values of the molar excess volumes suggest that interactions between the two liquids get stronger up to certain mole fraction and then get weaker afterward.
